A Shining Light Gives Feeling Back to Neuropathy Patients

Great Lakes Caring is using Anodyne® light therapy to help patients reduce pain and restore feeling in their extremities due to poor circulation and nerve damage. These non-invasive therapies utilize infrared light to stimulate nerves and trigger the release of nitric oxide—the body’s natural painkiller.

“Our Anodyne® Therapy system represents the latest technique we’re taking to improve the quality of life of our patients,” says Great Lakes Caring CEO, William Deary. “We employ the use of care programs like these to provide health care options for those patients wishing to remain in their residences and assure a superior level of quality care is always delivered by Great Lakes Caring.”

Anodyne® Therapy requires a varied number of sessions, dependent on the patient’s condition, with each session lasting as little as a half hour and positive results lasting for up to six months after sessions end. It includes simple stretching and exercising to augment the infrared light treatments. Anodyne® Therapy is also covered by Medicare if prescribed by a physician, and the Anodyne® infrared light system can be purchased for personal use and continuation of treatment after the therapy sessions are complete.
