Great Lakes Caring Honors Beacon of Light and Shining Star Award Winners

(Bingham Farms, MI) June 20, 2011 – Great Lakes Caring honored seven of its employees at its annual meeting at Schoolcraft College in April. The staff members were recipients of the hospice organization’s Beacon of Light and Shining Star awards.

Great Lakes Caring Hospice Chief Officer Laura A. Wagner said that the company annually recognizes exemplary staff members. “These awards recognize individuals who consistently embody the essence of what Great Lakes Caring stands for to our patients, families, customers and communities,” Wagner said.

“They are a caring beacon of light that comes through to and brightens every one of us, and every person they come in contact with.”

“Additionally, award recipients understand before you ask, help because they want to, find joy in being kind, make others happy, and are part of why fellow staff members love to come to work every day,” explained Wagner.
