Great Lakes Caring Hospice Announces its 2013 Volunteer of the Year Recipient Lebanon Resident Jeannie Brandenburg
April 2013 National Volunteer Month Honoree
Lebanon, IN resident Jeannie Brandenburg (center) was recently honored with Great Lakes Caring’s Fifth Annual Hospice Volunteer of the Year Award. She one of 14 volunteers in three states selected for this recognition.
Through Great Lakes Caring’s Indianapolis Branch Jeannie visits with patients at several different skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, or in their homes. She has volunteered over 25 hours since last August providing patient companionship. Sonya Neeb, Great Lakes Caring Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, said “There have been numerous times when Jeannie has made a notable impact on patients and families. She also seems to understand her patients and their needs.
